Biography
Max has played, contemplated, and written about virtual worlds since first discovering a curious thing called Ultima Online in 1999. He maintains active accounts in several synthetic worlds, and draws equally from synthetic- and real-world events for his writing.
Max is a regular contributor to Foreign Policy in Focus. His work is published in various policy and politics journals, including Asia Chronicle, The George Mason Review, Foreign Policy in Focus, and PPI Online. Max previously served as a Legislative Fellow in the United States Congress and as a technology lobbyist ofr a boutique firm. He lives just outside Washington, D.C., with his infinitely patient girlfriend.
